This lab is a two day course introducing ORCAview, Delta’s native BACnet application software and ORCA hardware including DCU’s, DAC’s and DSC’s.

PREREQUISITE: None

DAY TWO CONTENT:

Alarm processing
System security
Install/Uninstall of ORCAview software

LAB II - GCL Programming

This lab is a two day course providing necessary information to write and debug GCL programs. Hands-on exercises will illustrate basic GCL strategies for controlling the most frequently encountered mechanical systems.

PREREQUISITE: Lab 1

PREPARATIONS: Review ORCAview Reference Manual, Chapter 11

Modular programming
GCL editor in Navigator
GCL execution and error codes
Commands, functions, status operators
Arithmetic, logical operators
Conditional statements
Subroutines
System variables
PI controllers
Common HVAC strategies
