At Kimco, we have always believed in the importance of giving back to our community. Because we are a local company, the people who we work with are more than just clients — they’re neighbours. And when a neighbour needs a hand, you offer one. It’s as simple as that.
Maple Springs Bible Camp is a registered charity that offers affordable summer camps for youth aged 5 - 17, located just outside of Peachland. The camp offers kids a chance to enjoy the outdoors, make friends and try out a variety of fun activities like sports, hiking, music, crafts, watersports and more. The fees are kept as low as possible and financial assistance options are available so that as many children as possible are able to attend.
Kimco completed much-needed repairs to the facilities at Maple Springs, including upgrades to the main supply to the dining hall, breakers and panels, and new lighting and wiring, with a $10,000 donation to cover the costs.
“It is so encouraging to me to have Kimco support our project and do an excellent job updating our Dining Hall. This is our only large building and is at the center of all our programs for kids. It is incredible to have our urgent repairs and updates 75% complete, thanks in a large part to Kimco and their team. This work directly supports kids and families in our community in outdoor experience, leadership and ‘Building relationships, changing lives’. I am so thankful and looking forward to finishing this great project very well.”
