The Kelowna Law Courts building is a six-story structure housing the Supreme Court, the Provincial Court, Crown Council, Probation, and other court-related services. The mechanical equipment consists of six variable volume air handlers and about 150 VAV and fan powered box zones. The temperature in the courtrooms must be maintained within 1.5 degrees C. of set point, regardless of varying occupancy and varying levels or activity. It is very important that the systems run quietly and do not allow the temperature to fluctuate. The building has performed to expectations since its completion in 1994.
