Our technicians work tirelessly in the field, keeping our communities cool through the summer and comfortable through the winter. Kimco would not be where it is today without dedicated people like Dennis Mitchell, our longest-serving technician, who celebrates 20 years with the company this year, and Mikal Stanway who celebrates five years with the Kimco team.
Their dedication, commitment, and the countless hours they have spent serving our customers do not go unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful for the passion and care they have brought to Kimco throughout their years of service.
Dennis and Mikal represent what Kimco stands for, being a company built on people and a commitment to caring for the communities we serve. As Dennis says, “It is great coming to a job that you enjoy. Like it’s not really a job”
20 years of service: Dennis Mitchell
Before beginning his career in the trades, Dennis worked at McDonald’s and later in the fire protection industry. As a husband and a father of five, he chose to pursue a trade that would provide stability and opportunity for his family. Two decades later, his dedication can be seen not only in his years of service but also in the relationships he has built and the impact he has had on the Kimco team.
Reflecting on Dennis’s contribution, Mark Janssen shared, Dennis has been “A valued employee, we all love Dennis. He’s one of the few people that’s been around longer than me. When I first started with Kimco, I had Dennis and another journeyman and two apprentices and that’s how we started off 20 years ago. I see what we’ve built, and Dennis has been a big part of it.”
Throughout his time with Kimco, Dennis has helped train, educate, and mentor many technicians who have followed in his footsteps.
5-year Milestone: Mikal Stanwa
Kimco has the honour to present Mikal Stanway with a five-year service award with the company. Thank you, Mikal, for your dedication to our clients, coworkers, and the Kimco team. We appreciate your contributions and look forward to many more years ahead.
Recognition Where it Matters: Matthew Marcia
Kimco also celebrates another exciting milestone with Matthew Marcia who recently received his Certificate of Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanics. Supporting our technicians as they grow in their careers is important to us, and we are proud to recognize those who continue to take the next step in their professional journeys.
