Kimco, a community-minded technology company, gives back to Kelowna

Jeremy Harnett, Management Accountant at Kimco, delivers a generous donation on Kimco's behalf to Mamas For Mamas.

As part of our yearly tradition, we at Kimco organize a festive Christmas Staff Party to celebrate the holiday season with our employees. However, we also use this occasion to give back to our community and support those in need. 

One of the ways we do this is by conducting a 50/50 draw during the event, where half of the proceeds go to the lucky winner, and the other half is donated to a charitable foundation of our choice. This year, we selected Mamas For Mamas as our beneficiary based on our three pillars of community, families, and children. 

We are thrilled to share with you that we have successfully raised a total of $2,640.00 for the non-profit organization Mamas For Mamas. This contribution was made possible thanks to the generous support of our staff, who participated in the 50/50 draw. The draw raised $1,320.00, which Kimco then matched. This significantly increased the amount of the donation, bringing the grand total to $2,640.00. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this worthy cause, and we are proud to support Mamas For Mamas in their mission to provide essential support to mothers and families in need.

On December 14th, our Management Accountant, Jeremy Harnett, had the honor of presenting the cheque to the charity, knowing that the funds we raised would make a significant impact on the lives of those in need. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this meaningful cause.
