Celebrating Rob’s 10-Year Anniversary with Kimco Controls

Rob D. is Kimco Controls’ Electrical Estimator, and he just celebrated 10 years with the team. Thank you for everything, Rob! 

On Monday, December 15, the staff at Kimco Controls celebrated the 10th anniversary of Rob D’s employment! As our Electrical Estimator, Rob plays a key role on the Kimco Controls team. Cheers to many more successful years ahead!

A Decade with Rob D.

Rob joined Kimco over a decade ago as a Lead Hand Electrician, and from day one, he brought something special to our team. With decades of experience in the electrical industry, Rob carries an incredible depth of knowledge across all types of electrical systems, and he’s always been the person everyone turns to when they need answers, parts expertise, or sound advice.

Beyond his technical skill, Rob is a true leader and team player. He has taken on a mentorship role over the years, helping train and guide new hires with patience, care, and a steady hand. Around here, he’s often described as a “dad-figure”, someone who looks out for his team, sets high standards, and genuinely wants to see others succeed.

Rob’s Career with Kimco

Rob has successfully made the transition from the field into an office leadership role, embracing new technology while still holding onto the old-school work ethic that defines him. His reputation in the Okanagan is built on years of strong relationships, trust, and hands-on experience; he’s truly someone everyone knows and respects.

Today, Rob oversees all electrical service and installation work at Kimco. As our primary Electrical Estimator, he manages everything from Electrical Operating Permits and Service Agreements to service calls, lighting upgrades, security projects, and everything in between. If there’s a challenge to solve, Rob is on it.

Rob embodies the values Kimco stands for: integrity, reliability, teamwork, and pride in the relationships we build with our clients. He continues to be a key part of our success, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he brings to our team.
