Kimco’s Field Team Reels In a Weekend of Sturgeon Fishing
Published on: October 20, 2026
Kimco Controls’ building automation technicians swapped BC Interior jobsites for a weekend of sturgeon fishing after a busy summer.
The same crew that keeps building systems running across the Okanagan, enjoying a well-earned weekend on the water.

The trip kicked off early Saturday morning. Out there, it was just the crew, the boat, and nothing but forest and mountains in every direction. Then came the moment everyone was waiting for: the rush of reeling in a sturgeon.
Why We Make Time for the People Behind the Work
At Kimco, we value the people behind the work just as much as the work itself. Our technicians put in long hours and physically demanding days in the field, helping bring building control systems to life across the Okanagan and beyond.
Getting together outside of work, having some fun, and sharing a few stories is one way we say thanks to the people who make Kimco what it is. It’s also part of why so many of our team members build long careers here.
A big thank you to our technicians for everything they do, and to our sturgeon fishing guides for a fantastic weekend on the water. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
Kimco Controls helps BC Interior property managers, contractors, and building owners with commercial HVAC, building automation, and electrical services under one roof. Based in Kelowna since 1984, Kimco promotes from within and invests in its people. Meet the team.
