We regularly work with existing control systems and equipment installed by other contractors or manufacturers. Many modern building automation products communicate using open protocols such as BACnet, which can allow existing and new equipment to work together.

Before recommending a replacement, we'll assess what you already have. If existing controllers, sensors, wiring or equipment can continue to provide value, we'll look at integrating or upgrading them rather than automatically recommending that everything be replaced.

Operators can review alarms, temperatures, equipment operation, schedules and energy information from one location while still having detailed access to each individual building.

One of the first things we'll determine is what can remain and what actually needs to be upgraded. Existing sensors, field devices, wiring, controllers and mechanical equipment may still have years of useful life.

Yes. Older Delta Controls systems can often be modernized in stages rather than replaced all at once.

Delta's Red5 product family includes options designed to make upgrading legacy Delta installations easier, and in many cases existing field devices, wiring and mechanical equipment can remain in place.

We'll review the existing system, identify obsolete or higher-risk components and develop an upgrade strategy based on the building's needs, budget and long-term plans.

Yes. Building automation can reduce unnecessary equipment operation by improving scheduling, temperature control, ventilation, equipment sequencing and overall system visibility.

It also gives building operators better information. Instead of discovering a problem because someone complains that a room is uncomfortable or an energy bill suddenly increases, operators can use alarms, trends and system data to identify abnormal operation earlier.
