A Multipurpose Centre for Windermere, BC

Located in Windermere, BC, the Akisqnuk Multipurpose Centre was created to bring important services and community spaces together for the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation. The new facility brings together a Health Centre, Administration spaces and a Community/Band Hall, creating a place where people can access services, connect with one another and gather as a community.

For Kimco Controls, being part of a project like this is an opportunity to contribute our expertise to something that will have a lasting impact on the community.

Coordinating the Building's Systems

Our team worked on the building's controls, helping coordinate the many heating, cooling and ventilation systems throughout the facility. From the Health Centre's specialized spaces to the community and administrative areas, the building requires a variety of systems working together to keep the spaces comfortable and operating efficiently.

But behind all those systems are the people who will use the building every day.

The Akisqnuk Multipurpose Centre is a great example of how the work we do at Kimco extends beyond equipment and technology. Building automation may be what happens behind the scenes, but its purpose is simple: help create spaces where people can work, receive care, gather and connect.
