When you’re on the hunt for a new HVAC, automation, and electrical company, here are some of the signs to look for:

Longevity

How long has the HVAC company been operating? The longevity of a company speaks volumes to its credibility. This also means the company is more likely to have built strong industry relationships that will serve you, the client. 

Certifications and partnerships

Look out for appropriate licences, certifications, and association memberships. An HVAC company that is a member of places like the Better Business Bureau or maintains relationships with construction associations is more likely to maintain the high standard of service required by that membership. 

Not subcontracting

You might think that if you’ve hired an HVAC company for a job, you’re working with that company. Pretty simple, right? Wrong. Some companies subcontract. That means there may be less quality control and differing levels of training and experience. Sticking to the source is best. 

Education

Does the HVAC, electrical or automation contractor have an educational component to their business? If they do, it’s a good sign that their technicians are also at the top of their industry. The technologies technicians work with evolve, so working with a company that stays current and supports knowledge in the next generation is important.
