What is a DDC Control System, Anyway?

You could also ask, "What is building automation?" because the two are inextricably linked. A DDC control system (DDC = Direct Digital Control) is how your building “thinks” about comfort and efficiency. Put simply, DDC for HVAC keeps temperatures steady, trims energy waste, and helps your team spot issues and flag a DDC tech.

We have a great team of people on the DDC control team. One of them is Chris Howard, and in 2025, he celebrated 27 years working with the Kimco team.
